Podiatry (Foot and Ankle Care)

Whether you're at work or at play, you rely on your feet to get you where you want to go. Sudden or long-standing overuse or traumatic injuries can lead to persistent aches and pains, swelling and inability to participate in daily as well as athletic activities. This situation can be caused by many things, including faulty foot mechanics, poor training techniques, bad shoes, tight or weak muscles and more. The Sports Medicine Clinic provides comprehensive care for all foot and ankle problems including education, diagnosis, prevention and treatment which may involve both non-surgical and surgical strategies.

We believe our patients deserve to have the best and most up-to-date information needed to make good choices about their foot and ankle care. Our goal is to educate each patient and work with him or her to find the answers that will help establish a rational treatment plan that will optimize the patient’s chances of returning to desired activities. Our services are comprehensive and cover all aspects of conservative and surgical management of your foot and ankle problems. Our podiatrists work closely with a pedorthist (certified shoe fitter) and an orthotist (foot orthotic technician) to optimize conservative care.

When surgery is necessary, our podiatric physicians are trained to address all aspects of foot and ankle pathology.

Whether you are a full-time athlete or perhaps just a weekend warrior, our goal is to safely and efficiently help you return to your chosen activity.
