Comprehensive Gait Analysis by the Region’s Leading Sports Medicine Specialists
When you choose The Sports Medicine Clinic for gait analysis, you can be assured of a comprehensive evaluation by a team of experts, including physical therapists with advanced training, as well as pedorthic specialists, who can design custom fittings for your shoes to relieve chronic pain and discomfort. You’ll also have access to the knowledge and expertise of the area’s leading podiatric, sports medicine and orthopaedic physicians.

A Complete Look at the "Kinetic Chain"
Our comprehensive evaluation starts with listening. We want to understand the problem from you point of view. Then we complete an objective assessment, with functional measurements to determine how the foot, ankle, knee, hip and spine all connect. Finally, we’ll video tape you in motion, using our sophisticated four-camera system. You’ll be simultaneously filmed from the front, back, side and top. We’ll observe you walking and running, with and without shoes.

Comprehensive Analysis and Expert Care
Once the exam is complete, our team will perform a frame-by-frame evaluation of your gait and running mechanics. The analysis and our recommendations will be summarized in a written report to your referring physician. You will also receive a copy of the report along with a DVD of the video gait analysis. Then we’ll advise you on strategies for resolving your pain.

Our practice includes a wide variety of sports medicine specialists. No matter what you need to solve the problem—from a simple exercise program to a custom orthotic to surgical intervention—we can help.
