Physicians: Thomas H. Jansen, D.O.


Dr. Jansen completed two undergraduate degrees from the University of Washington, earned a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from Xavier University (Cincinnati, Ohio) and was awarded his Osteopathic Medical Degree (D.O.) from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1981. After a rotating internship in Portland, Oregon, he became Board Certified in Family Practice by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians. Dr. Jansen is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, the Washington Osteopathic Medical Association, the American College of Sports Medicine and is a trustee for the King County Medical Society. He is also an Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine for the Pacific Northwest University College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Dr. Jansen volunteers as a Team Physician for the Shorecrest High School football program and is the medical director for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s annual Winter Pineapple Classic. He also volunteers as event physician for the Seafair Unlimited Hydroplane Races. His special interests include sports medicine, osteopathic spinal manipulation and teaching optimal health through conditioning and nutrition.

Outside his medical practice, Dr. Jansen, who is also an Eagle Scout, enjoys hiking, camping, boating, snow skiing, travel and Crossfit exercise.
