In the Community
The members of our medical staff share a common dedication to bringing care to the community outside of The Sports Medicine Clinic. They offer their skills as team doctors and medical advisers to many local school districts and professional athletes.
Dr. Hsu is a team physician for fall sports in the Edmonds School District; Dr. Jansen acts as a team physician at Shorecrest High School; Drs. Peterson and Storey share team physician duties at Blanchet High School; Dr. Pitt is a team. physician for fall sports at Ballard High School, and Dr. Rothmier is fall sports team physician at Shorewood High School.
The Sports Medicine Clinic also serves as the official sports medicine consultancy for all sports at Seattle Pacific University. Dr. Pitt also is team physician for men’s and women’s soccer at SPU, and Dr. Rothmier serves as the team physician for women’s basketball.
Many professional athletes also depend upon The Sports Medicine Clinic to keep them healthy and ready to play. Both Dr. Rothmier and Dr. Storey are team physicians for the Seattle Mariners.
Since 1986, The Sports Medicine Clinic at Northwest Hospital also has been providing comprehensive on-site medical care at community and sporting events throughout the greater Seattle area, setting up its up its custom mobile medical trailer at races, fairs and festivals and other events.
