Emotional Support

Bariatric surgery is a powerful tool for long-term weight loss. Initially it will produce significant results, but weight loss cannot be sustained without additional, necessary lifestyle changes. Bariatric or weight loss surgery does not address the psychological, emotional, behavioral and other challenges that you may experience on your weight loss journey.

We are committed to helping you meet these challenges to ensure the best outcome. Before surgery, all our patients undergo a comprehensive psychological screening. Post-operatively, our patients are encouraged to attend our support groups. Research consistently shows that bariatric surgical patients who achieve long term weight loss success regularly attend support groups. Our groups provide emotional support through interactions with other patients and guidance from our team of experts.

If you have any questions about weight loss surgery and our support program, please call us at (206) 368-1350, or send us an email.
