Baby Your Back
Back pain is a frequent problem for pregnant women with many causes. Baby Your Back is a two-hour class for expectant mothers taught by a licensed physical therapist. A Healthcare provider referral is required.

Brain Health: Simple Tools for Clear Thinking
This workshop is from 1 to 2:30 p.m. and is led by Dr. Jane Tornatore, a nationally known speaker on brain health and memory problems. She will explain why everyone experiences "senior moments" and what to do about them. Learn easy ways to improve the memory and keep the mind active - to reduce the risk of Alzheimer's. Much of the workshop will involve participation in brain-strengthening activities. Cost is $20.

Stroke Awareness Event
This free stroke awareness event features two presentations: “How to Prevent a Stroke: Know Your Risk Factors,” with Dr. Marc Kirschner, a neurologist, from 3:15 to 3:40 p.m., and “Don’t Wait, Call 9-1-1,” with Shoreline paramedics, from 3:40 to 4 p.m. A stroke survivor guest panel follows at 4 p.m. Activities include free blood pressure checks, blood glucose monitoring, stroke risk assessment, medication safety and the expertise of physical, occupational and speech therapists. Gentle Yoga

A conversational support group that provides people with acquired brain injury the opportunity to participate in group card and board games in a supportive, encouraging environment. This group is facilitated by a licensed speech language pathologist who provides suggestions and encouragement, helping people build confidence while having fun.
